On the 9th of November there will be a themed show on the Swedish scene from 1980-1989 where I'll touch upon as many sub-genres as possible with the objective that it will act as a precursor to the following week's show on the 16th of November wholly (maybe that should be "unholly") on Swedish Death Metal, mainly focusing on it's origins and early period (1989-1994), tune in for the carnage on 93.7FM or www.threedradio.com

While in Melbourne recently, apart from seeing Japan's COFFINS and New Jerseys's OVERKILL (both were killer), I came across a record store in Bays Water (16A Station Street) and I immediatley thought I had travelled back in time with the amount of 1980s heavy metal memorabillia, a plethora of old posters, cool patches, old magazines as well as plenty of vinyl and cds (used and new), it's the place for every metal dog, so support "Stand up and Shout Records" when you're in Melbourne!
